Principal Consultant – Sourcing, R&D, and Strategic Partnerships
Growth Architect | Specialty Tea Master | Sustainability Advocate
Desirée Nelson is a Principal Consultant and Growth Architect helping brands navigate the intersection of innovation, sourcing, and sustainability in the tea, botanical, and functional beverage industries.
With over two decades of global experience — from product formulation and co-manufacturing to brand development and strategic partnerships — Desirée has earned a reputation as a trusted advisor who transforms great ideas into scalable, ethically sourced products. Certified by the Specialty Tea Institute, she brings both technical depth and creative flair to every collaboration.
Desirée serves on the American Herbal Products Association (AHPA) committees for Sustainability and Tea Infusions, where she helps guide best practices across the industry. She has developed award-winning blends, built manufacturing alliances, and led innovation initiatives that align consumer demand with responsible sourcing.
Her work also extends beyond the boardroom. As an educator, festival founder, and speaker, Desirée teaches the art and science of blending — from UC Davis to experiential wellness events and curated tea festivals. Her passion for regenerative agriculture and community-driven sustainability is expressed through active reforestation initiatives and support of the Fallbrook Land Conservation.
At her core, Desirée believes in connecting people to purpose through product — crafting experiences that are both profitable and profoundly sustainable.
Her mission: to help companies and communities build with integrity, blending commerce, creativity, and conscience.
